SLB reports $9.45 billion in quarterly revenue as global energy services, North American operations, and data center demand support growth.

HOUSTON, Texas, October 23, 2026. Global energy technology company SLB reported third quarter revenue of $9.45 billion on Friday, highlighting stronger business activity across North America and several international markets. Revenue increased 5 percent from the previous quarter and 6 percent compared with the same period in 2025. The results also revealed growing demand for data center infrastructure services, demonstrating how an established energy technology provider is expanding its activities beyond traditional oil and gas operations.

SLB Third Quarter 2026 Results Show Revenue Growth

SLB reported net income attributable to the company of $735 million for the quarter ending September 30, 2026.

Although revenue increased, net income declined 6 percent from the previous quarter and approximately 1 percent compared with the previous year.

The company also reported adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization of $2.07 billion, representing a 9 percent sequential increase.

Cash flow from operations reached $1.51 billion, while free cash flow totaled $828 million.

These figures illustrate the importance of examining profitability and cash generation alongside revenue growth.

For multinational businesses, higher sales do not always translate into equivalent increases in earnings because operating expenses, business conditions, and investment requirements can influence financial performance.

North American Operations Support SLB Business Expansion

North America represented an important contributor to SLB's quarterly performance.

Revenue from the region reached approximately $2.40 billion, increasing 7 percent from the previous quarter and 24 percent compared with the reported figure from the previous year.

The company attributed sequential growth partly to stronger activity in U.S. land operations, including demand for production chemicals, artificial lift equipment, and related services.

SLB also benefited from its previously completed acquisition of ChampionX.

The acquired businesses contributed $956 million in quarterly revenue, making acquisition effects an important consideration when comparing annual performance.

Excluding the acquisition's impact, North American revenue increased 13 percent from the previous year.

The distinction helps explain how much reported growth reflects changes in business activity rather than the addition of acquired operations.

International Energy Services Remain A Major Business Segment

International operations generated approximately $6.99 billion in revenue during the third quarter.

That represented a 5 percent increase from the preceding quarter and a 1 percent increase compared with the previous year.

Latin America contributed approximately $1.75 billion, while Europe and Africa generated about $2.44 billion.

The Middle East and Asia accounted for approximately $2.81 billion.

These results demonstrate the geographic scale of SLB's business and the importance of serving customers across different energy markets.

Regional performance can vary because of project schedules, customer spending, equipment demand, and operational conditions.

For companies operating internationally, maintaining a diversified customer base can help reduce dependence on any single market, although it does not eliminate business risks.

Data Center Demand Creates A New Growth Opportunity

One of the most notable developments in SLB's third quarter report involved its Data Center Solutions business.

The company reported a 23 percent sequential increase in revenue from this activity.

Demand for data center infrastructure has become increasingly important as businesses expand computing capacity to support artificial intelligence and other digital applications.

Large data centers require specialized infrastructure, including cooling systems and equipment designed to maintain reliable operations.

SLB is developing its position in this market by applying industrial technology capabilities to data center infrastructure requirements.

The company previously announced an agreement to acquire Kelvion, a provider of thermal management and heat exchange technologies.

The planned acquisition is intended to expand SLB's ability to serve customers requiring advanced cooling solutions.

However, the transaction remains subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Production Systems Become SLB's Largest Revenue Contributor

SLB's Production Systems division generated approximately $4 billion in third quarter revenue.

This represented a 6 percent increase from the previous quarter and a 15 percent increase compared with the previous year.

The division provides technologies and equipment used in energy production operations.

Meanwhile, Well Construction generated approximately $2.89 billion in revenue, and Reservoir Performance contributed $1.63 billion.

The Digital division recorded $693 million in quarterly revenue, increasing 5 percent from the previous year.

These results illustrate the company's combination of established industrial services and newer digital capabilities.

For customers, the range of services reflects the continuing need to manage equipment performance, production efficiency, and complex technical operations.

What SLB's Results Mean For Global Business

SLB's October 23 announcement provides several useful insights into the changing business environment for multinational industrial companies.

First, geographic diversification remains important as demand and operating conditions differ across regions.

Second, acquisitions can influence reported revenue growth, making comparable performance measures valuable when evaluating business results.

Third, industrial companies are identifying opportunities to apply existing technical capabilities in adjacent markets.

Finally, cash generation and operating profitability remain important indicators alongside sales growth.

The company's data center activities are particularly notable because they demonstrate how expertise developed in one industry may support customers in another.

Looking Ahead At SLB's Global Business Strategy

SLB's third quarter results highlight a company balancing established energy services with opportunities in digital infrastructure and industrial technology.

Its $9.45 billion revenue figure reflects growth across several business areas, while changes in profitability demonstrate the importance of disciplined operating management.

The continued development of Data Center Solutions also provides an example of business diversification built around existing technical expertise.

For business executives following global industrial trends, SLB's performance offers a useful case study in adapting capabilities to changing customer requirements.

The central takeaway is that sustainable business development depends on more than expanding revenue. Companies must also manage costs, understand regional differences, and identify where their expertise can create lasting value for customers.
