Safe Superintelligence (SSI), the artificial intelligence company established by Ilya Sutskever, has successfully raised an additional $2 billion in funding. This investment boosts the company’s valuation to $32 billion, according to a report by the Financial Times.
This latest funding round follows an earlier $1 billion investment, bringing the total raised by SSI to $3 billion. Though SSI has yet to comment officially on the new funding, sources indicate that the investment was led by Greenoaks.

Founded in the wake of Sutskever’s departure from OpenAI in May 2024, SSI is a collaborative effort between Sutskever, Daniel Gross, and Daniel Levy. The trio established the company with a singular focus: “a safe superintelligence,” which sets a critical objective in the realm of artificial intelligence development.
